HOW DO I JOIN ST AUGUSTINE’S GOLF CLUB?
The first question is have you played before and do you have a handicap?
IF YOU HAVE A HANDICAP FROM ANOTHER CLUB
Get an application form by calling in at the Secretary’s office, or by telephoning 01843 590333 to arrange for one to be sent to you by post.
Fill in the form and return it to the Secretary.
You will be notified of a date to attend an interview.
The interview will last about 10-15 minutes and you will meet three or four committee members who will talk to you about the Club.
The recommendations of this committee will go to the General Committee for approval and soon after you will hear whether you have been successful.
Upon payment of your fees you may then enjoy the full facilities of the Golf Club.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE A HANDICAP
Visit Derek Scott, our Golf Professional and arrange for one or two lessons (or telephone him on 01843 590222). Once Derek has assessed your golf he will issue you with a competency Certificate.
Once you have this certificate the procedure is the same as above.
PAYMENT
Payment can be by cash or cheque. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept credit cards at this moment in time.
There are credit arrangements in place for the payment of fees. The joining fee must be paid in one payment, but the annual subscription may be paid by direct debit by an arrangement the club has with Premium Credit Ltd. A form may be obtained from the Secretary’s Office.
